Horticultural tourism

The mandatory events for horticulture lovers should be the Flower Fair in Türi, the Spring Capital of Estonia, taking place in May; the Garden and Flower Days at the beginning of June and the Estonian Farm Days at the end of July, both held at Jäneda.

In addition to the fairs, there are many continuously open gardening farms where horticulture lovers can obtain the needed plants, and there is certainly an opportunity to consult the experts. There is the Nurmiko Gardening Farm at Saku and the Haideaed at Kaerepere, Raplamaa. Plant lovers are welcome to visit the Mõdriku Iluaed, a landscape garden, in Virumaa, and the Hansaplant in Kiili Parish near Tallinn offers a wide variety of horticultural goods.

It is possible to become acquainted with various species of trees and bushes in the dendropark of the Sillaotsa Farm Museum at Velise, Rapla County. Tallinn Botanical Garden, rich in species, generously offers a feast for the eyes. Lovers of landscape gardening are welcome to small home flower gardens and to see wood sculptures when agreed with the owner in advance. The best way to visit landscape gardens is in groups organized by travel couriers.
